The Scuba Diver and His Chub-Ball Octopus

Hello November! Gobble gobble!

This blog will remain a cool and refreshing white for a while. By the end of the month the pink was making me a little sick. (My "click to fund free mammograms" is still up - bottom of left column. Remember to click.)

I've been checking out a bunch of blogs looking at the adorable children in their adorable costumes. Costumes y'all made. Check this and this and this amazing shit out. Some were hot glued together and even maybe hot glued to the child, but you made them.

What did I make for my kids? I made an online transaction. Which resulted in:

Scuba Diver Shark Boy

Honey Bear Fat Little Octopus

We are heading out, again, tonight, for the third weekend in a row out-of-town. It's getting old and I've completely lost all control of the house. We may have to burn it to the ground and start over.

But it's Notre Dame weekend. Shark's third year and Bear's first. We'll go to a basketball game tomorrow and the football game Saturday. Then Mass Sunday morning and a last ramble through the lovely campus before heading back.

Notre Dame, please beat Navy on Saturday. It's the Midshipman for Heaven's Sake and football is not their true calling. You cannot possibly only win one game this season. You are bad at a previously unknown level of stinkage. Do not ruin our weekend. We are driving two small Golden Helmet Worshippers an awful long way to watch what we hope is not a post-Halloween slaughter.

Just an aside - thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers for my daughter and her friend. Taken right to heart and held tight...

I didn't make my kids costumes either. My husband does that each year for at least one of the kids it seems. Me? I just want to buy something cool and move on because I am totally craft-challenged.

Great photos of the kids. That octopus costume is just too cute!

I love the costumes! Who cares that they're not homemade? My son Jack wants to be a SCUBA diver when he grows up, so he would love that one!

Love your blog - love the name, especially!! So cute! Thanks for stopping by mine today - always fun to meet new people. I'm so sorry for your daughter and will keep her in my prayers. Safe travels to you too this weekend. Kids are too cute - I don't know anyone who makes their kids' costumes...who has time for that? (we're all too busy hanging out online, I think!). Have a good one, I'll keep checking ya out!

I'm all about making an online transaction...I have big dreams of one day making a costume. Um, but I think my kid'll end up in a white sheet with two holes cut out.

The kids look adorable! Very original - can't say I've ever seen a scuba diver OR an octopus on Halloween!

Your children are absolutely darling! These might be online purchases, but they are certainly unique!

Thanks for popping by my blog the other day. Have a great football weekend.

Too cute! I didn't make my kids costumes this year either. And besides, a lot of time and energy goes into buying the perfect ready made costume! ;)

I think your Honey Bear might be a Happy Panda! LOL

Surely that is the cutest octopus I have ever seen. How do you stand it? Shark boy is pretty cool too.

You seriously have two of the cutest kids ever. Those ecostumes are fabulous. I don't care if they're not handmade; at least it's not another gore-skeleton or princess.

Great costumes and that baby is bitable!

Aw, look at your little Jacque and his Octopus friend!

We had a little bee buzzing around, also via online transaction. :-)
