Nearly Wordless Wednesday - About Disney...

Despite this and this, we did have some fun in Florida!

And about Disney: I didn't mean to just completely dis it because it didn't work for us this time. (Do people still say "dis"?)

I remember the fun of my childhood trip to Disney. And when we took Sugarplum, when she was 8, we had a blast (in May, when it's warm).

I actually love Disney and I'm already plotting our return.

I'm waiting until Bear is between 2 and 3 and still loves Pooh and all things Magic Kingdom with his mommy, and Shark will be 7-8 and excited about the rollercoasters. And it will be May, full of sunshine, and those little cartoon bluebirds from Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah will fly along singing for us, fields of flowers unfolding ahead of us as we skip through Fantasyland...

In other words, I still think all children should be dragged, carted, forced, treated to Disney.

Happy Wednesday Y'All!

We love Disney as well. It's hard when you have multiple children all at different ages and try to balance baby stuff and big kid stuff all at the same time. We went this past April and had a good time, but it wasn't perfect either and we had lots of rain. Ugh.

We've still decided against Disney I think. Instead we'll opt for a smaller, but much less crowded theme park that's a little closer, borrow the folks' RV and make a camping trip out of it too.

I was always so-so about Disney, because I really am not an amusement part person. However, after seeing my little ones reactions to the Disney on Ice show, I am definitely rethinking my opinion. My oldest is 6, my youngest is 2. I think next year they will be old enough to appreciate it, yet young enough to be in awe. So, we may be planning our first Disney trip soon enough!!! Our in-laws spend 2 months in FL (near Orlando) every year - feb and march. We were thinking of coinciding the trip with their trip. Having extra hands would be helpful. I know they usually have weather in the 60's.

I found your blog on momblogs and I have been dieing reading about your little 'un-disney' adventure! Oh lordy, I will tell you, I'm so sorry for the not-so-fun parts of the trip, but they sure gave me the giggles! :)

Those cheeks, those thighs, those apple walrus teeth! Those are some darling kiddos!

We aren't big on the hype or the huge crowds so I don't know that we'll ever hit Disney :-) But I'll live or groan vicariously through all y'all!

Was that Honey Bear's first time in a pool? He is such a cutie! Actually, all your kids are gorgeous, but I just love that cheeky grin!

Great, I'll be looking for my ticket in the mail box. You are taking me next time, RIGHT?

We'll call this the What About Ron trip.

When we went in August we had a some really great moments but boy we had some horrible ones too. I told my husband not again for at least another 3-4 years. Maybe more.
