The Performing Bear

I walked into the kitchen the other day and P said, "Check this out. I've trained him like a circus animal."

There was Honey Bear, standing in front of his father. He would dance in a circle and then P would feed him a blueberry. Over and over.

It was hilarious. And what could I say? I use dog commands with my kids. "Sit!" "Come!" It's what happens when you have a dog first.

Yes, I'm saving for their therapy bills.

Hi Amy!

That is too funny. We don't have kids of our own yet, but we have several friends who do. When the kids come over to our house, I catch myself saying things like "good boy!" or "Stay there!" and I think oh my gosh, do our friends think we're giving their children commands, like we would our dog??! LOL. But my friend assures me that she says the same things to her child that I would. It just feels weird to me because all I've ever had were dogs!

...and don't forget the command OBEY! My mother used that one all the time.

I snap and do the "shhhhttt" sound that the dog whisperer does to my kids. And not just the furry one!

Dude, at least it was blueberries and not kibbles-n-bits!

I can totally picture it. I'm glad I'm not the only one that treats my kids like wee circus animals.

I'm impressed that he is getting trained with blueberries.
