You Wanna Know How Bad It Is?

Well lemme tell ya.

It's SO bad, I read everything in my Reader (oh yes I did) and then kept going back yesterday over and over, looking to see if someone, anyone, had posted something new.

It's not like I have nothing to write myself. Oh no. I owe probably four posts/articles to various people right now. I compose the start of some really good things in my head and sometimes even manage to jot a note on a napkin, but by the time I get to a computer it has evaporated from my mind or I've wiped a snotty nose with the note.

I have lots of work (my actual day job) stuff to write too, including a piece of fiction that I'd be very excited about working on if it weren't for...

I don't feel well. Nose drips. Sneezes. Sore throat. Dry eyes. Stupid doctor's office not calling me back.

Dinner tonight: slice of frozen pizza, peanut butter right from the jar, a Claritin, and a vodka tonic. (Don't worry. I fed the kids something else.)

I got the most interesting offer yet this month - feelers from ABC to see if I would be interested in being on their TV show Wife Swap. Did they blast the whole mommy blogger world or somehow single me out? Anyone else get this offer? I hope we all got it so I don't have to wonder any more why on earth my blog set off their Google alert.

Even though I can't get much out of my brain at the moment, I really do love blogging. Sometimes I question it like her. And sometimes I just love and appreciate it completely like her.

playgroupie just twittered using the word "sporked" in a sentence and I smiled when it came up on my phone. this would never have happened without blogging. a cool new word and a smile when i feel like crap.

I vacillate between wanting to be good at blogging and just using the blog as a giant public dumping ground for my innermost "i am completely losing my shit" moments and, you know, memories of the kids. What a lovely combo.

What I really need to do is post a picture of my new shoes. That's about what I'm capable of this week. The shoes are so amazing, they are probably better than anything else I could come up with anyway.

Shoes. Coming up.

OK just post a photo of those new shoes already! I'm sure they are gawgeous.

I've been saving some giveaway posts for the holiday weekend so I can take a little blog breather.

I'm having one of those love/hate weeks with blogging.

Must. See. Shoes!

I know what you mean...Sometimes I feel like I just dump on my blog...I have no direction:P

Sorry you're not feeling well. Me I got ripped apart by a dermatologist yesterday. She said, "I'm gonna cut you." Then she pulled out this Rambo knife. Then she took great pleasure in burning the living stuffing out of the rest of my body with nitrogen. She smiled the whole time.

I just want you to know that I love reading your blog, no matter what you choose to do with it! I'm new in the blogging world, and yours was one of the first I'd become addicted to. I hope that makes you feel maybe a little better about it...?

Feel better soon!

Yes post the shoes. I am having a brain fluff week and have managed to get a few posts out but the one I wrote last night is kinda scary--oh wekk, I will write about mike Rowe over the weekend so Mommypie and I can drool. Look for that.

My blog is and will stay small potatoes because I don't want to structure it and have a point...and when I don't feel like posting - I don't. Guess I'm not a great blogger but it keeps me liking my blog.

Wife Swap? HA! That is too funny. So you gonna do it?

Ugh Wife Swap... I'm totally below the radar so I didn't get an evite, but maybe others did...

First, I am LOL about the Wife Swap thing. That is TOO funny! Let us know if you decide to do it!

Second, hope you feel better. I am down with the exact same symptoms and just (blessedly) received word that I can work from home this afternoon too (was already home, but was planning to go in this afternoon). thank the Lord!

Hope you feel better soon. At least you've got cool shoes! (AND you managed to blog today. I probably won't get that far!)

Hi. I just got here. Found you on Lotus' blog. So far, so good. I like what I've seen. I'd like to come back. In fact, I'm going to put you on the ever-growing, getting-to-be-a-bit-out-of-hand list of daily reads. I do have a question, though. Does your daughter know you're trying to pimp her out to Lotus's little brother?

Amy @ Milk Breath and Margaritas said...

lceel -- Well no, she doesn't know that I offered her in marriage to Lotus' brother. She wouldn't be all that surprised. Heh.

Shoes??

Also, glad you liked my word. I enjoy making up new words to suit the situation.

I REALLY need a blog vacation after all this drama. Hell even without the drama, I still feel like I just need a break. It's like some sort of sick compulsion, though, I just can't help myself.

Oh, I'm not all Shirley Temple. There are days, nay weeks I'm like "OYVEY! The reader sits at over 100. Shoot me." But, if you take it all together? It's been great. You know we really don't care what you stick up, right? But, I do want to see the new manolos.

WIFE SWAP? That's amazing. Are you going to do it??

Found you via a few blogs I frequent. I can't be sure which ones. My brain is working only intermittently today. I totally hear you on the I've got tons to write but just can't make it happen. I get the same kind of mental constipation too.
Sucks, don't it ?

Ohh and yes must see the new shoes

Hope you're feeling better. And the best thing about blogging is that you can use it for venting any emotion and still get respect and understanding from your readers.

Hey chicky. Sorry you're having a rough time of it lately. I've been so busy, I've been missing y'all in the blogosphere. See you in two weeks - I'll buy you a drink. ;)

Wife Swap might be just the blog fodder you're looking for (snerrrrk)!

I sometimes wonder about my blog direction too, but then I realize, I just want people to like me.
