They love to see the cow jumping over the moon.
Trimming can make you hungry.

Old enough to use the ladder.

Mommy's favorites:
A little girl in 1989...
A baby brother in 2002...
And one last baby boy in 2007.
(Is that one perfectly proportioned real live tree or what?)
Thanks for helping Mommy guys!

So, real tree or artificial? What's your preference?

Fake, fake, fake, fake. I hate having a real tree - the difficulty in finding one that is shaped well, getting it home and in the house, getting it to stand up straight, keeping it watered (the dog drinks the water) and alive, decorating it while the needles jab, and cleaning up needles until the following Christmas. And then throwing it away. This is one thing that my husband has learned not to fight with me about. LOL
Michelle - They are a pain, but we are real tree people.
The two things I most hate about real trees is that there are too few branches that can hold heavy ornaments, and sometimes by the time Christmas comes the branches are all starting to droop down toward the floor and ornaments will just slide off!
We do artificial. I hate cleaning up all the needles from real trees! I do, however, like the idea of picking out a tree. That just seems like such a fun, family event!
I prefer a real tree. I love picking out the tree, the way they look and smell! It reminds me of when I was little. But we have an artificial tree. It's really hard to keep a tree alive for over a month. Especially when the only place we have to put the tree is over the vent in the living room. Nothing says house fire like a really, really dried out tree!
I prefer a real tree but we have an awesomely ginormous faker that my dad and stepmom gave us a few years ago. BUT I think 2009 may be the year to return to the real deal.
Your tree is lovely!
Your tree and the pics are fabulous!!
Love the baby ornaments and the helper pics ;-)
We have had a fake tree for years and I really love it. It's nothing against a real tree, but when you have a tree given to you... it costs nothing :-) and I know it's exact dimensions. When the kids are older we'll do a few years of real trees, but for now, I loves me my faker ;-)
AWWW So cute!!
We got a $45 Noble for $15...we still aren't sure how, but it is perfect too!
That's a real tree? Wowsers. It looks wonderful. We have allergies, so we have to have the fake ones. And, at least they are prelit.
I'm a real tree gal, but feel a bit guilty these days for all the hacking down of trees.
Gorgeous tree. Love all the colors on it.
I love the look and smell of a real tree but I am too cheap to buy the kind I like year after year. We have an artificial tree that I like. The big bonus is that it is pre-lit so I don't have to do the struggle with lights thing every year.
As I looked at your picture my son came by and said, "Hey, nice tree!" (He's six.)
Your boys are so cute! I love the close ups of ornaments.
I love those glass ornaments!
We got a fake tree for the first time this year. I thought I would really miss the fresh evergreen smell and everything, but I totally don't. And it came pre-lit. AWESOME.
This is going to be my 5th Christmas with an artificial (oh how I hate the word fake, makes me think I'm talking about boobies. *lol*) tree. The last real one we had killed the vacuum cleaner with all the needles and leaked sap everywhere. It smelled great, but I couldn't hack the needles.
Your tree is GORGEOUS and that picture of both the boys is enough to make ANYONE smile....even Scrooge himself!
I TOTALLY splurged on an awesome, pre-lit, easy to assemble fake tree two years ago. And I wonder what took me so darn long!
(You can see a pic of my tree in yesterday's post here. And by "splurge" I mean I still spent less than $250.)
If I were to ever break down and actually decorate my home... I would have to say a fake one becuz of the less mess to clean up! :)
Real. Gotta have the smell.
