Weekly Winners October 12 - 18

The short and sweet edition...

Fuzzy Halloween
Halloween 2009

My camera only works about 30% of the time now (see: craptastic Halloween photo above). However, they are so excited about dressing up I took a bunch of terrible photos anyway.

Shark Boy is Star Wars Clone Wars Commander Fox, and Bear is a bear. The bear costume was Shark's when he was 3. (We think Bear can pass for an Ewok though.)

What are your kids dressing up as this year? We are on year number 3 with a Star Wars character for Shark Boy. Bear is still at that awesome age where he'll go as whatever I put him in. I love that age!

Bear is so cute fuzzy! My newly 6 year old girl is going as a flower fairy, wings, flower tiara, sparkly shoes, the whole deal and the 2 year old boy is going as a train engineer due to his recent love affair with all things train. We are heading to the trick or treat party at Sea World in San Diego tomorrow and it is supposed to be almost 90 degrees, so tonight I pulled out his red shorts and old white tee and transfer paper and he is going as a lifegaurd tomorrow morning. I am having a love/hate relationship with our weather right now as I pine for cooler temps and sweaters in October! Have a fun Halloween night. I am hoping to stay out of candy bags!

Kate is going to be a monkey!

Matt wanted Kate to be a flower and for us to dress as hippies so she could be a "flower child." I vetoed that.

Bear as a bear cracks me up. Maybe next time he could dress up as a bear dressed up as a bear dressed up as a bear. (Note, I have no idea why a bear would want to do that!)

Very cute pictures of your boys! I love the bear costume! My boys are going to be Optimus Prime and Thomas the Tank Engine. We are not in Texas anymore so it is a tad bit cooler at night here. It will be interesting to see how we deal with that!

Bear could be an Ewok, but he's much cuter.

I made a butterfly costume and a bat (not batman) costume. They are poorly conceived and executed and will hopefully survive the school party on the 25th so they can wear them for Trick or Treat.

My daughter is going to be a pirate and my son is going to be an astronaut. For three or four years, my daughter went as a witch and wanted to do that again this year, but I nixed it. I'm tired of looking at that pointy hat!

So, so cute. I've already made my poor children parade around in there costumes twice. They'll be so over them by the time Halloween rolls around!

He can totally pass for an ewok! SO CUTE!

My daughter is going as a mermaid and my son, Caspar the friendly ghost, which makes for an easy costume, right?

Those are not good photos? They're better than my iPhone photos! And I love the costumes. You really deliver, Mom!
