This is a Blackberry photo of the lower half of my face. I look happy, right?
I AM HAPPY.
After having braces wrenched off each individual tooth and the remaining cement ground off and a few spaces between my teeth filed with a stick of steel sandpaper, I AM HAPPY THIS EXPERIENCE IS OVER.
It took two years almost to the day.
HAPPY!

Congratulations! I remember the day I had my braces removed. Definitely in the top 5 happiest days ever. LOL!
OMG - you have a BEAUTIFUL SMILE!!! do you keep running your teeth over them like i did after i got mine off? it was a great feeling of SMOOOOOOOOTHNESS. :D
I've just spent the last two minutes trying to work out if the two pictures are indeed the same. And I'm NOT happy about the time wasted doing it. I could have spent those two valuable minutes doing something productive like staring into space.
I kid. Glad you have the relief. I remember when I had mine off after a year or so the freedom my teeth felt was phenomenal.
wow!! i didn't know you had braces! how flippin liberating is THAT!!??
AMY ! I got mine off last week after almost 2 years and was so happy to post my before and after pics on my blog!! congrats. I know all too well how wonderful it feels. Enjoy!!! You look so happy and beautiful.
Yay!! You look awesome.
I had braces thirty years ago & unfortunately, could use some touching up, but now I am a coward.
Great looking teeth! So what's next on your planned mid-life crises?
Beautiful, happy, naked teeth! Congrats!
Yea yea yea!!!! Your teeth look beautiful. I got mine off my senior year of high school...I think I smiled nonstop for a month!
Yay! They look great! I still remember that feeling!
Thanks everyone!
Cowboy - Turns out I'm not good at mid-life crisis. I'm more of a general, everyday, run-of-the-mill crisis kind of gal.
My goal is to learn new things. That's pretty much it.
Woo hoo!!! Happy day indeed!!
They look fabulous!!
Looking fab!
Yay!!!
I'm happy for you!
Wooo! Lookin' mighty fine!
LOVE the pics!!! You look positively bubbly with those pearly whites!!
Your words,
"So I started planning a mid-life crisis.
Phase 1 officially started this morning.
Not new boobs. (I know. You're disappointed. You thought that was it didn't you?)
No face lift. No liposuction, collagen injection, or botox.
I turned the clock back, but not just to some nice young age like 22. I went WAY further back than that.
I went back to age 13.
Yep. Braces."
So have ya planned phase 2 yet?
So are you looking to have one yourself Cowboy?
I have zero pointers for you my friend. I've decided that my primary goal is to learn new things.
Maybe Phase I was so painful I've simply abandoned all thought of a Phase II!
Happy Teeth!!!
Yahoo! Such perfect teeth! You look great.
