Music & Molasses

Sunflower

Just popping in (POP! HELLO!) to remind everyone about the Music and Molasses Festival at Ellington Agricultural Center this weekend.

I've talked before about how much I love the Ag Center, and how it made me a friend.

The annual Music & Molasses Arts & Crafts Festival is a celebration of the harvest season. You can watch the molasses being cooked up and get ya a taste at the sorghum mill, listen to Bluegrass music, and browse the traditional crafts and homemade foods for sale (PIE). Horse-drawn buggy rides too.

This is the first time in a couple years we've been in town the weekend of this festival and I can't wait to take the boys. If you see me there say HI.

(From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Not a sponsored or compensated post.)

I'm going to try to take the girls! Hopefully I will see you there. No soccer this Saturday due to fall break. Woot!

Did you know ETSU has a Bluegrass Major? There's some serious music going on up there!

Mary - Didn't know MTSU has a bluegrass major but I'm not surprised.

Speaking of Bluegrass, download a Cherryholmes CD. They are AMAZING.
